Valpaarai - Discovered heaven :)

A beautiful place ensconced in the Western Ghats in Kerala. It is a heavenly four hour drive from Coimbatore, you can also see the Sholayar dam. It is a perfect weekend getaway where you can forget the real world and immerse yourself deep in this densely green valley. You will hardly see any concrete patches here. We started our journey from Coimbatore at 3 pm in the evening and reached The Whispering Falls, a tiny resort hidden in this small town, at 9 pm. En route, one can expect to see orange and apple orchards lining the roads. 

Trip to Kothagiri

We began our trip from Sai Baba colony, Coimbatore to Kothagiri. Our driver navigated through the crowded and busy streets of Coimbatore before stopping over for breakfast at the Annapoorna Gowrishankar outlet in Mettupalayam. Once we left the hustle-bustle, we entered the winding mountainous roads leading to the quaint hill town of Kothagiri.
